Ethiopia Reads Kick-Off.

25 Feb

As mentioned in a previous post, we are participating in a book drive for Ethiopia Reads this semester.  Jen Allison and Leah Oliver are heading up the MomTime efforts and have created an info sheet for us that includes everything we need to know!

If you would like to collect books to contribute to the larger MomTime donation, please download this flyer to place on a collection box in your location of choice.  You could put one in your office (or your husband’s if he’s so inclined), on your front porch (and spread the word to your neighbors), at your child’s daycare or school, at your church, at your gym… you get the idea!

Jen and Leah have also drafted a letter you can use to help spread the word.

As Jen said in her kick-off speech, if there are a few of you who want to group together, she’s happy to facilitate smaller group efforts under the MomTime umbrella – contact her for more information.

I think that’s a great idea, Kathy! Let’s see who else in Stapleton would like their address included as a drop-off location.

Maybe one of us can post on the Stapleton Mom’s Yahoo blog with info on this service project, and we can include addresses from each of the sub-neighborhoods within Stapleton where there will be boxes on porches to drop off books.

I’d be glad to post the announcement if we can get several addresses that will serve as collection points. Let me know if anyone is interested. I can be one of the addresses.
