Gender Differences in Parenting.

14 Mar

Aimee Henley, PhD and Amy Crockett, PhD led us through a fascinating discussion of gender differences in parenting girls and boys.  We split into three groups; moms of girls, moms of boys, and moms of both genders.  The questions we explored and the resulting answers from each group were quite interesting!

The small group discussion questions were:

1. What are your children’s greatest strengths?
2. What are your children’s greatest weaknesses?
3. What are your biggest challenges in child-rearing?
4. What are your children’s favorite toys?
5. What are your children’s favorite activities?
6. What is your and your spouse’s role in terms of discipline? Care-giving? Comforting? Teaching?
