Financial Planning for Families.

25 Mar

Chris Metscher gave some guidance around prioritizing savings for retirement (pay yourself first! And max out your matched amount with employer), saving for college (whether it is a small percentage or the whole sha-bang now is the time cause the kids grow-up fast and the further costs will be BIG), how to teach our kids the value of money (recommended the Young Americans bank as a great teaching environment and said to let them make mistakes – learning that buying junk for a small amount now will help them from making bigger mistakes with a larger amount later) .  It was a good session…oh and get rid of debt (of course!).

Thanks to Anna for the summary.  You can download Chris’ presentation here: MomTime Financial Pres.
