MomTime Bake Sale – December 2012.

20 Nov

The holiday bake sale is scheduled for Sunday, December 9 at 11:30am. It will be held at Montview Blvd Presbyterian Church immediately following the 10:30 service. Proceeds will be split between Denver Children’s Home and the MomTime scholarship fund. Last year we made over $1000 at our holiday bake sale – let’s do it again!

If you are able to donate baked goods, please use this sign-up to indicate what you’re bringing:

You can make treats at home, you can buy store-bought items and re-wrap them individually, you can contact a bakery to ask for donations, or you can ask your mom, mother-in-law, or baking goddess friend to bake/donate something.

Items should be wrapped in small portions (2-4 cookies) or individually. Cellophane treat bags make it look more festive, but a regular sandwich baggie will do too. Treats can be sweet or salty – cookies, breads, pies, snack mixes… you get the picture! Last year there was a demand for gluten-free items (in addition to some nut-free items), so if you have recipes that honor those requests, please consider making them.

If you have time to volunteer for the bake sale itself, we will need help setting up, pricing the baked goods, selling, and taking down tables at the end.

This picture below might inspire you to bake a loaf of bread, a Bundt cake, or perhaps individual tarts. You can find these products at World Market (“Patisserie collection”):
