Olympic Feats and Physical Therapy.

17 Jan

We got up and got moving for our kick-off meeting today!  Deb Saint-Phard impressed us with her athleticism, her medical degree, and her Olympic past – she was in the top 20 of women’s shot putters in her heyday, and trained for 6-8 hours a day while attending Princeton University full time!  Maria Borg and Holly Radin showed us functional warm-up exercises to keep our muscles strong and safe… and got our heart rates up for a few minutes too.

To view their presentation that includes a list of exercises you can do to strengthen your body and keep it safe when active, click here (PDF): Sports Medicine

To reach the women and the rest of their teams at the CU Sports Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation clinic, visit the following websites:

Their clinic is located on Colorado Blvd near Glendale, not on the CU Health Sciences campus at Anschutz/Fitzsimons.
